Calliostoma pacificum was named by Anderson and Martin (1914). Its type specimen is CAS 134, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Homalopoma pacifica by Weaver (1942); it was recombined as Chlorostoma pacificum by Moore (1963).
