Taxonomy

Ammonites subbackeriae was named by d'Orbigny (1850). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R02723 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Choffatia subbakeriae by Parent (1998); it was recombined as Choffatia subbackeriae by Zatoń (2010).
