Taxonomy
Jianshanopodia decora was named by Liu et al. (2006). Its type specimen is ELI−J0007 and is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Haikou [Yuanshan Fm (formerly Qiongzhusi)], which is in an Atdabanian marine mudstone in the Yuanshan Formation of China.
