Platygonus (Parachoerus) carlesi wagneri was named by Rusconi (1930). It is extant.
It was recombined as Parachoerus carlesi wagneri by Kraglievich and Rusconi (1931); it was recombined as Platygonus wagneri by Rusconi (1948); it was recombined as Catagonus wagneri by Wetzel (1975), Wright (1998), Agnarsson and May-Collado (2008) and Gasparini (2013); it was recombined as Parachoerus wagneri by Dutra et al. (2017).
It was recombined as Parachoerus carlesi wagneri by Kraglievich and Rusconi (1931); it was recombined as Platygonus wagneri by Rusconi (1948); it was recombined as Catagonus wagneri by Wetzel (1975), Wright (1998), Agnarsson and May-Collado (2008) and Gasparini (2013); it was recombined as Parachoerus wagneri by Dutra et al.
