Taxonomy
Dechenella italica was named by Gortani (1911).

It was recombined as Cyrtosymbole italica by Richter (1913); it was recombined as Cyrtosymbole (Waribole) italica by Selwood (1960); it was recombined as Waribole italica by Lemke (2020).
