Taxonomy
Paraleperditia was named by Sun (1978) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi-l D Fras Sepkoski's reference number: 85]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Paramoelleritia (Paraleperditia) by Wang and McKenzie (2000), Vannier et al. (2001).

It was assigned to Leperditiidae by Berdan (1984); to Paramoelleritia by Wang and McKenzie (2000), Vannier et al. (2001); and to Leperditicopida by Sepkoski (2002).
