Notiotitanops mississippiensis
Taxonomy
Notiotitanops mississippiensis was named by Gazin and Sullivan (1942) [genotype]. Its type specimen is USNM 16646, a partial skull (basal portion of skull with complete dentition, except for three incisors and portions of both rami of the manidble with P/3 to M/3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Covington Farm, which is in a Bartonian marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Cook Mountain Formation of Mississippi.
