Ocajila makpiyahe

Osteichthyes - Erinaceidae

Taxonomy
Ocajila makpiyahe was named by Macdonald (1963). Its type specimen is SDSM 56105, a mandible (fragment of left mandible, with slightly worn m2-3.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sharps (SDSM V-5360), which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Ocajila.
