Paciphacops (Paciphacops) microps was named by Chatterton et al. (1979). Its type specimen is ANU 35207, a cephalon/head, and it is a cast.
It was recombined as Kainops microps by Ramsköld and Werdelin (1991), McKellar and Chatterton (2009).
