Ophiomys taylori

Taxonomy

Nebraskomys taylori was named by Hibbard (1959). Its type locality is Hagerman (USGS 19216), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in Idaho.

It was recombined as Mimomys taylori by Repenning (1987); it was recombined as Ophiomys taylori by Hibbard and Zakrzewski (1967), Zakrzewski (1969), Kurten and Anderson (1980), Martin et al. (2002).

Synonyms

Pliophenacomys idahoensis was named by Hibbard (1959). Its type locality is Sand Point (USGS 19128), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in Idaho.

It was synonymized subjectively with Mimomys taylori by Repenning (1987); it was synonymized subjectively with Ophiomys taylori by Hibbard and Zakrzewski (1967), Zakrzewski (1969), Kurten and Anderson (1980), Martin et al. (2002).
