Taxonomy
Callianassa trilobata was named by Biffar (1970). It is extant. It is the type species of Glypturoides.

It was recombined as Sergio trilobatus by Schweitzer et al. (2010); it was recombined as Glypturoides trilobata by Schweitzer et al. (2023).
