Taxonomy
Eothyrsites holosquamatus was named by Chapman (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is N.Z. Cement Holdings Ltd. quarry, Burnside, which is in a Kaiatan marine mudstone in the Burside Mudstone Formation of New Zealand.
