Pampatherium mexicanum
Taxonomy
Pampatherium mexicanum was named by Edmund (1996). Its type specimen is INAH 6201 D.P., an osteoderm (22 osteoderms probably from the posterior buckler of a single individual), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Valsequillo Reservoir, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in Mexico.
