Marcopoloichthys mirigioliensis
Taxonomy
Marcopoloichthys mirigioliensis was named by Arratia et al. (2024). Its type specimen is PIMUZ T 3030, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Point 902, Monte San Giorgio, Bed 10, which is in an Illyrian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/shale in the Besano Formation of Switzerland.
