Taxonomy
Hispanomeryx duriensis was named by Morales et al. (1981). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Macrofauna, Los Valles de Fuentiduenya (Segovia), which is in a Vallesian alluvial fan horizon in Spain. It is the type species of Hispanomeryx.
