Perledovatus nothosomoides
Taxonomy
Allolepidotus nothosomoides was named by Deecke (1889). It is not extant. Its type locality is Quarry between Varenna and Regoledo, Perledo (SMF collection), which is in a Longobardian marine limestone in the Perledo-Varenna Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Perledovatus.
It was synonymized subjectively with Semionotus bellottii by Lombardo (2001); it was synonymized subjectively with Allolepidotus bellottii by López-Arbarello et al. (2014); it was recombined as Perledovatus nothosomoides by López-Arbarello and Brocke (2024).
