Taxonomy
Tealliocaris elliotti was named by Clark (2024). Its type specimen is GLAHM 163391, a carapace, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Polkemmet Colliery, Whitburn, which is in a Westphalian A fluvial-lacustrine shale in the Scottish Lower Coal Measures Formation of the United Kingdom.
