Parapliosaccomys witteorum was named by Martin (2008). It is not extant. Its type specimen is UWBM 56844, a mandible (left dentary with p4-m2).

  • Parapliosaccomys wittei was named by Martin (2008). Its type specimen is UWBM 56844, a mandible (left dentary with p4-m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arlington 7, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial sandstone/siltstone in the Alkali Canyon Formation of Oregon.

    It was replaced with Parapliosaccomys witteorum by Martin (2008).
