Hastatellina normandiensis was named by Přibyl (1975). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Normandy, which is in a Dobrotivian/Berounian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone/shale in the Saint-Germain-sur-Ille Formation of France.
