Taxonomy
Lingulocaris maccoyi was named by Collette and Hagadorn (2010). It is not extant. Its type locality is Bendigonian Castlemaine Group, which is in a Bendigonian deep-water mudstone in Australia.

It was recombined as Caryocaris maccoyi by Rolfe (1969); it was synonymized subjectively with Haplocaris stewarti by Collette and Hagadorn (2010); it was recombined as Rhinopterocaris maccoyi by Chapman (1902), Liu et al. (2024).

  • Hymenocaris salteri was named by M'Coy (1861). It is not extant.

    It was recombined as Caryocaris salteri by Salter (1863); it was synonymized objectively with Lingulocaris maccoyi by Liu et al. (2024).
