Taxonomy
Teratornis woodburnensis was named by Campbell and Stenger (2002). Its type specimen is UOMNH F-36468, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Legion Park, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial siltstone in Oregon.
