Taxonomy
Ticinocrinus moroccoensis was named by Salamon et al. (2024). Its type specimen is GIUS 8-3689/9, a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Riffian Ridges, near Moulay Idriss, Lower Marly Limestone, which is in a Pliensbachian deep subtidal marl/limestone in the Lower Marly Limestone Formation of Morocco.
