Tritonalia tethys

Taxonomy
Murex (Ocinebra) tethys was named by Nomland (1917). Its type specimen is UCMP 11099 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 2986, Kreyenhagen Hills, which is in a Pliocene marginal marine sandstone/conglomerate in the Etchegoin Formation of California.

It was recombined as Tritonalia tethys by Grant and IV and Gale (1931).
