Taxonomy
Parisicaris naoyai was named by Ehiro and Kano (2024). Its type specimen is IGPS 112810, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Tatezaki, Utatsu, Minamisanriku Town, Miyagi Prefecture, which is in a Spathian marine siliciclastic in the Osawa Formation of Japan.
