Calvarichelys coloniensis
Taxonomy
Calvarichelys coloniensis was named by Oriozabala et al. (2025). Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 10570, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Norte de Cerro Bayo 2, which is in a Maastrichtian estuary/bay mudstone in the La Colonia Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Calvarichelys.
