Winneshiekia youngae
Taxonomy
Winneshiekia youngae was named by Lamsdell et al. (2015). Its type specimen is SUI 140288, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Winneshiek Lagerstätte, which is in a Darriwilian marginal marine shale in the Winneshiek Shale Formation of Iowa. It is the type species of Winneshiekia.
