Trewavasia carinatus
Taxonomy
Xenopholis carinatus was named by Davis (1887). Its type specimen is BMNH 39239, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (Tristram collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.
It was recombined as Trewavasia carinatus by White and Moy-Thomas (1941), Poyato-Ariza and Wenz (2002).
