Taxonomy
Brunnaega tomhurleyi was named by Wilson (2011). Its type specimen is SAM P45651, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Canary Station, Boulia region, which is in an Albian marine horizon in the Toolebuc Formation of Australia.
