Taxonomy
Natatolana poblana was named by Vega and Bruce (2019). Its type specimen is IGM-11178, a carapace, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Barranca el Gavilán II section, which is in a Valanginian/Hauterivian marine shale in the San Juan Raya Formation of Mexico.
