Taxonomy
Ptychoparia urania was named by Walcott (1890) [Ptychoparia ? urania]. Its type specimen is USNM23861a, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Burnetia urania by Walcott (1924); it was recombined as Burnetiella urania by Lochman (1958), Westrop et al. (2010).
