Taxonomy
Acerocare klonowkae was named by Orlowski (1968) [Acerocare? klonowkae]. Its type specimen is MUZWG ZI/29/0545, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Acerocarina klonowkae by Zylinska (2001).
