Taxonomy
Bathyurus capax was named by Billings (1860). Its type specimen is Nat. Mus. Canada, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Platycolpus capax by Raymond (1913), Rasetti (1944); it was recombined as Rasettia capax by Stitt and Straatmann (1997).
