Taxonomy
Prodipodomys griggsorum was named by Zakrzewski (1970). Its type specimen is KU V45781, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saw Rock Canyon (Lower), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Rexroad Formation of Kansas.
