Taxonomy
Meyeria mexicana was named by Rathbun (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chihuahua, Abuja Colorada canyon on north side of Cerro Chino..., which is in an Aptian marine shale in the Gargasian Formation of Mexico.
It was recombined as Atherfieldastacus mexicanus by Robin et al. (2016).
