Diagnosis

---|---|---|
M. A. Pulsipher et al. 2022 | Vermiform arthropod bearing a cephalic carapace. Ocular somite bearing two teardrop-shaped faceted eyes. Up to five pairs of head appendages, including annulate antennules, mandibulate mandibles,
and at most three additional pairs of appendages. These additional appendage pairs likely correspond to maxillules, maxillae and a single pair of maxillipeds. Limbs appear biramous, with endopod more robust and more frequently preserved. Preservation of maxilliped endopods most frequent and identification most confident, with subchelate terminations. First three trunk segments shorter transversely and longitudinally. Inclusion of legs on these segments uncertain. Homonomously segmented trunk subsequently bearing one pair of small, setose, pleopod-like appendages per segment. Trunk terminus contracted without an obvious telson. |
