Taxonomy
Totiglobus lloydi was named by Sprinkle (1985) [Totiglobus? lloydi]. Its type specimen is USNM 172047 and is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Sprinkleoglobus.

It was recombined as Sprinkleoglobus lloydi by Zhao et al. (2022), Zamora et al. (2024).
