Taxonomy
Squalicorax sagisicus was named by Glikman (1980). Its type specimen is IGGD 2936/503 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nugayty ravine, Sagiz river basin, which is in a Coniacian marine horizon in Kazakhstan.
