Taxonomy
Notonucula subcircularis was named by Bradshaw (1999). It is not extant. Its type locality is Murray Creek Fmn, Inangahua & Waitahu Outliers, Reefton area, New Zealand, which is in an Emsian marine sandstone/siltstone in the Murray Creek Formation of New Zealand.
