Taxonomy
Modiomorpha kaka was named by Bradshaw (1999). It is not extant. Its type specimen is CM M-16850/1. Its type locality is Alexander Mudstone, Inangahua Outlier, Reefton area, New Zealand, which is in an Emsian marine mudstone in the Alexander Mudstone Formation of New Zealand.
