Taxonomy
Homopleura balkanica was named by Masse and Fenerci-Masse (2019). Its type specimen is JPMA-12385-3 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rusalya Quarry, which is in a Barremian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Emen Formation of Bulgaria.
