|---|---|---|
| F. Bellardini et al. 2025 | Astigmasaura genuflexa gen. et sp. nov. is characterised by the following unique combination of morphologic features: 1) anterior caudal vertebral centra with prominent and expanded ventrolateral margins on the posterior articular surfaces; 2) anterior caudal vertebrae with tall transverse processes, more than the centrum height, lying anterior to the neural spine in lateral view; 3) asymmetric middle haemal arches with a straight anterior articular surface that is longer than the posterior one; 4) a pubis with an anterodorsally extended iliac peduncle; 5) a pubis with a wide elliptical obturator foramen (ratio of obturator foramen area to acetabular margin area greater than 0.40); 6) a pubis with a laminar and distally extended pubic symphysis; 7) a femur with a prominent trochanteric shelf beneath the great trochanter on the posterior surface of the proximal epiphysis, resulting in a posterior bulge in proximal view; 8) metatarsals II-III-IV with a posteriorly expanded proximal half; 9) proximal phalanges of digits II-III-IV with distolateral and medioproximal processes, and 10) ungual phalanges with a longitudinal crest and fossa on the dorsal margin of the lateral surface. |
