Cytherella symmetrica

Taxonomy

Cytherella symmetrica was named by Payne (1937). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IU 3226, a carapace. Its type locality is Sullivan Ostracods, Hayden Branch near Dodds Bridge, which is in a Pennsylvanian offshore shale in the Hayden Branch Formation of Indiana.

It was recombined as Cavellina symmetrica by Jung Echols and Creath (1959).
