Fornicatus austriacus
Taxonomy
Fornicatus austriacus was named by Fuchs et al. (2018). Its type specimen is NHMW 2017/0056/0001, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Klausrieglerbach 1-A ravine (KB1-A), which is in a Valanginian basinal (carbonate) lime mudstone in the Steinmühl Formation of Austria. It is the type species of Fornicatus.
