Taxonomy
Centrophoroides volgensis was named by Averianov and Glickman (1996). Its type specimen is ZIN PC 1/1, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lysiye Gory, which is in a Danian coastal horizon in the Russian Federation.
