Taxonomy
Vachikaspis insueta was named by Ghobadi Pour (2006). Its type specimen is NMET 350, a pygidium, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Simeh-Kuh section, B-4, which is in a Tremadoc marine siltstone in the Simeh-Kuh Formation of Iran. It is the type species of Vachikaspis.
