It was recombined as Heliscomys parvus by Hay (1930); it was recombined as Mookomys parvus by Wood (1931); it was recombined as Proheteromys parvus by Wood (1935), Barbour and Stout (1939), Galbreath (1953), Wood (1980), Korth (1994); it was recombined as Kirkomys parvus by Korth (2008).
