Taxonomy
Isoxys shandongensis was named by Wang et al. (2010). Its type specimen is NIGP 151869 and is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Linyi Lagerstatte, which is in a Miaolingian/Drumian offshore shelf shale in the Zhangxia Formation Formation of China.
