Pudoproetus (Belgiproetus) damghanensis

Taxonomy
Zhifangia damghanensis was named by Hahn et al. (2013). Its type specimen is SMF 76638 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Simeh Kuh. S10. Trilobite Bed, which is in an Ivorian carbonate limestone in the Mobarak Formation of Iran.

It was recombined as Pudoproetus (Belgiproetus) damghanensis by Müller and Hahn (2015).

Hahn et al. 2013A species of Zhifangia known only by its pygidium (and the posterior axial rings) with the following characteristics: Axis blunt, with nine rings which are crest-like elevated and project back- wards in side-view. Post-axial region bent down vertically. Pleural fields with eight pairs of ribs. Posterior bands of ribs only slightly deepened. Ribs not passing onto border. Exoskeleton covered with many small nodes.

Hahn 2015A species of Pudoproetus (Belgiproetus), known only by its pygidium and thorax segments, with the following characters: Pygidium short (ratio width/length 1,76), very strongly vaulted. Axis very long, moderately broad, with 9 rings. Pleural fields with 8 pairs of ribs. Border very narrow. Sagittal line of axis covered with a row of enlarged nodes.
