Taxonomy
Pinocetus polonicus was named by Czyzewska and Ryziewicz (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nowa Wies, which is in a Langhian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Pińczów Limestone Formation of Poland.
