Xiaosaurus dashanpensis
Taxonomy
Xiaosaurus dashanpensis was named by Dong and Tang (1983). Its type specimen is IVPP V6730A (field no. Cr. 003), a partial skeleton (A damaged maxilla, a complete tooth, 2 cervicals, 4 caudals, left humerus, and complete right hindlimb.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower], which is in a Bajocian/Oxfordian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Sereno (1991); it was considered a nomen dubium by Norman et al. (2004).
